Your GP Surgery, Use it Your Way
As the founders of The GP Surgery and as NHS GP’s ourselves, we have one guiding principal – to alleviate the burden faced by the NHS. We also want to provide you with the chance to take ownership of your own healthcare and give you the ability to monitor and maintain your health.
The NHS cannot afford to provide all the patient care and appointments and preventative medicine, tests and minor procedures that might be useful or desirable. Here, at The GP Surgery, we provide a service that the NHS cannot. We want to empower you to choose where and when you access medical care and give you the ability to monitor your and your families’ health and take action to maintain a healthy and happy life.
We are here to enable you to make the right choices in influencing your own healthcare. From empowering you in making the right decisions in choosing your own blood tests, to guiding you through which investigations would be most appropriate for you to choose for your ailments. We will be there every step of the way.
But please remember, we are NHS GP’s too, and we would have failed, if our good intentions in being your advocate, resulted in increasing the NHS burden by escalating the workload placed upon your NHS GP.
Hence, please do use ‘The GP Surgery’ as you wish, but we would implore that you use our GP telephone advice service and GP Results interpretation service to explain your results and questions, rather than troubling your own NHS GP with tests that they did not advise or feel were necessary.
